HopTech is a free to read collection of technical knowledge for the creation of visual media. Its name is a portmanteau of hoptic and technology.
HopTech is intended to serve as a hub of basic and advanced knowledge spanning from C++ programming to setting up your own wiki. It originates from a need at hoptic to have documentation and learning resources on many different areas.
Editing/Registration Policy
Unlike Wikipedia HopTech is open to be read but not open to anonymous editing. To become a editor/contributor you must request an account, your application will be moderated and (in most cases) you will be given an account. This policy has been taken as a preventative action against spam.
In future HopTech may be opened up to allow signing up without moderation, depending on the level of community uptake and self maintenance.
